Community Engagement Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced community worker to join Queen’s Park Community Council, London’s first and only resident-led government body. As the Community Development and Engagement Officer, you will play an integral role in engaging local people as volunteers and working group members, empowering resident voices, and helping the Council to meet the needs of local people, whether with regards to cost-of-living support, health and wellbeing, education and training, etc. Your work will enhance local understanding of the Council’s remit and processes, strengthen the Council’s visibility, and help to organise and deliver a range of events, projects and services that improve our community’s quality of life. In this role, you will work in a small team, where time management, attention to detail, flexibility and a commitment to the community are essential. There will be many opportunities to identify and undertake training and professional development and to network with professionals across local government and the third sector.

Role:  37.5 hours per week, fixed 1 year (starting June 2025)

Salary: £32,115 – 34,315 + £4,047.61  London weighting (depending on qualifications and experience)
