Celebrate Black History Month with a powerful film series that explores themes of power, pride and standing firm. We start with Girl, exploring a claustrophobic tale of mother & daughter in Glasgow; then Borders, which sees four women from different parts of Africa bond while taking a long bus journey; and Becoming a Guinea Fowl, a dark comedy sees a middle-class Zimbabwean family come together at a funeral. Finally, we’re going to close out Black History Month with a Halloween Special African Horror Film – details for this will be announced soon!
In a journey that resonates with that of an independent woman’s experience in the world, four women, from different parts of Africa, meet and develop a friendship while travelling on a bus.
