🗓️ 12–18 May 2025 | 🧠 Theme: Community
Mental Health Awareness Week is a time to reflect on, reach out to, and celebrate the people and places that support our well-being. This year’s theme—community—is something we’re proud to champion here in Queen’s Park.
At Queen’s Park Community Council (QPCC), we see daily how local connections and kindness strengthen mental health. Whether it’s neighbours supporting each other, sharing stories, or simply offering a friendly face, these moments matter.
One group we support, Shifaá Healing Hearts Counselling, is hosting a special Mental Health Awareness Week workshop:
“Your Community, Your Story”
📅 Wednesday 21 May | 🕚 11am–2pm
📍 Queen’s Park Library, 666 Harrow Road, W10 4NE
🎟️ Free entry | Refreshments provided | Open to all
This session offers space for local people to share their experiences, hear others’ journeys, and explore how storytelling can be a path to healing. Everyone is welcome—whether you want to speak, listen, or simply be present.
We’re also excited to welcome you to:
💬 The Queen’s Park Annual Community Meeting
📅 Sunday, 25 May | 🕛 12–3pm
📍 Happy Hub, Third Avenue, W10 4RS
Drop in for free refreshments, meet your Community Councillors, and chat with neighbours. It’s a great way to celebrate our community, share ideas, and find out how to get more involved. And if you’ve got an idea for a small project that could support mental health and community wellbeing—we want to hear from you! QPCC’s Pop-Up Grant provides up to £300 to help residents run local events or projects. Recent applications have included a free massage day for women in the area, and we’re always open to creative ideas that bring people together and boost wellbeing.
Let’s use this Mental Health Awareness Week to show kindness, uplift one another, and continue building a stronger, more connected Queen’s Park.
