Queen’s Park Spring Clean Competition

Join us for a community challenge like no other as we take on the Great British Spring Clean 2025, Saturday April 5th – Queen’s Park style! This is your chance to team up with friends, neighbours, or colleagues and make a real difference while competing for cash prizes!

Get Ready to Pick, Bag, and Win!

We’re calling on residents, businesses, and community groups to put together a dream team of #LitterHeroes and take part in a 2-hour litter-picking competition to clean up Queen’s Park. Whether you’re a solo warrior or part of a squad, every bag of litter counts in this friendly and impactful contest!

How It Works

📅Saturday 5th April!

🗓 10:00 AM – Meet in Queen’s Park Gardens for registration and equipment collection.
🚮 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM – Litter-picking competition is ON! Teams spread out across Queen’s Park, Westminster, to collect as much rubbish as possible. While teams are welcome to clean the park, they are encouraged to fan out and clean different areas to maximise the impact on the whole community.
🏆 1:00 PM – Gather back at Queen’s Park Gardens to count the rubbish and recycling bags and determine the winners!

Prizes Up for Grabs!

  • 1st Place: £150
  • 2nd Place: £100
  • 3rd Place: £50
  • Businesses: If you win, you can donate your prize to a local charity of your choice.
  • Community Groups: Prize money can be donated to support your group’s activities or to a charity of your choice
  • Individuals/Groups of Residents: Keep the prize (as Love2Shop Vouchers) or donate to a cause you care about!

**Terms & Conditions**
– Teams must consist of at least 2-4 people. Solo entrants will be paired with others. Larger groups can be split into two (e.g. A & B).
– The event is open to residents, businesses, and community groups in and around Queen’s Park, Westminster.
– All rubbish and recycling bags collected will be counted after 2 hours to determine the winners.
– All rubbish must be collected as dropped/loose litter from across Queen’s Park, Westminster (see map)
– Prize money for business and community groups must be donated to a local charity or group initiative.
– Prize money for team(s) made up for individuals can either be taken as Love2Shop vouchers or a donation to a local charity of your choice or an international charity working on environmental issues.
– Participants must wear the provided hi-vis vests for safety, which will be provided.
– Participants must use litter pickers and wear protective gear (e.g. gloves), which will be provided.
– QPCC reserves the right to disqualify teams for rule violations or unsafe behaviour.
– All participants take part at their own risk. QPCC is not liable for personal injury or loss/damage to belongings.
