Bravington Road incident – call by police for information

The Met Police have said that anyone with any information on yesterday’s shooting (29 January) on Bravington Road should get in contact with them, either by calling the police on 101 and quoting 4343/29, tweeting @MetCC, tweeting @CrimestoppersUK or by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. The victim of the shooting, which is reported to have taken place at 2.44pm, has been confirmed by the police as a man in his late 40s who’s condition is said to be ‘life-threatening’.

The police announced that a Section 60, which ‘gives police the right to search people in a defined area during a specific time period’, was put in place across areas of Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea and Brent until 4am this morning (30 January). The police have said that the Section 60 was ‘the result of a firearms incident which occurred on Bravington Road and intelligence of anticipated violence’.  See here for more information on what a Section 60 is and conditions of its use.
