Welcome to Queen's Park Council's third e-newsletter of 2016. 
Queen's Park Community Council Upcoming Meeting Dates 
 
Additional Policy and Resources Committee - March 23rd
Environment and Open Spaces Committee  - March 30th
Neighbourhood and Planning Committee - April 6th
Full Council - April 20th
Policy and Resources Committee - April 27th

All the above Committee meetings begin at 6.30pm except Full Council which is at 6pm. 
Meetings are held at QPCC Office 1 of the Beethoven Centre, Third Avenue W10 4JL

 
Annual Meeting of the Council
 

Queen's Park Community Council's Annual Meeting will now be held on May 18th, at 6pm in the main hall of the Beethoven Centre. At this meeting the members of the council elect a new chair and vice chair for the year ahead and at which Councillors membership of committees is agreed. The Council will also present the public with a report of the Council's activities from the previous year and there will also an opportunity for members of the public to speak and ask questions. Councillors would be very pleased to see as many local residents as possible. Please come along.

In accordance with Parish Council law between March 1st and June 1st there will need to be an "annual parish meeting"  If you, or any local person you know, is interested in helping to plan or run this event, please contact director@queensparkcommunitycouncil.gov.uk 

Tea Fit for a Queen
Queen's Park Community Council has funded an over 50s event in honour of the Queen's 90th Birthday which will be held on the
21st of April between 2pm and 4pm. For more information please contact the Beethoven Centre directly on 0208 8251067 or speak to a
member of staff on reception.

Harrow Road Retailers Committee 
QPCC's Neighbourhood Planning Committee recently organised an open Harrow Road retailers meeting which over 20 shop owners attended. A committee was formed and a chair elected, and regular meetings will be held at which plans and ideas for Harrow Road will be discussed.  The Committee will look at issues such as parking, shop fronts and awnings. Queen's Park Gardens Football Academy 
Queen's Park Gardens Football Academy will run weekly football coaching sessions in
Queen's Park Gardens every weekend throughout the Spring and Summer, with the aim of taking a new team forward to compete in local and national competitions. Keep an eye out for leaflets been delivered in the coming weeks. For more information contact QPGFootball@gmail.com
Turn Up... Tone Up!
Free bootcamp fitness classes are now held on Tuesday and Saturday mornings in Queen's Park Gardens. More infomation at www.ourparks.org.uk

Goodbye & Hello
QPCC's first Director, Mike Simpson, left his role at the end of February after working for us for one year. We wish him the best of luck in his new venture - a political website. We have a locum director in post, Sam Shippen, and will shortly begin the process of recruiting a new permanent member of staff. More information will be circulated in April's E-Newsletter, the Spring edition of Queen's Park Voice and on our website.

Queen’s Park Voice Spring
The next issue of Queen's Park Voice is now been put together and we hope you will enjoy it. Please send any comments that you may have to QPCC or email queensparkvoicenews@gmail.com. The spring issue is delivered in late April and the deadline for copy and pictures is April 8th. Any ideas for content and articles you would like to see? Happy 100th Drop-In Session 

QPCC grant recipients 'Creative Futures' recently celebrated their 100th baby and parent drop-in session in partnership with Paddington Development Trusts Maternity Champions Project. They held a very busy party to celebrate the 100th session and were treated to a wonderful sing-a-long with Maternity Champion Julie. Singing Workshops

All Sing! Harrow Road Community Choir is holding a free singing workshop in the Beethoven Centre this Saturday afternoon, March 19th, from 2.45-5pm. Everyone is welcome to attend - please contact allsingchoir@gmail.com for more information.

Poorly Bike?

On the 29th of March between 3pm and 6pm A2Dominion Housing Group will be
holding a Doctor Bike workshop session in the Main hall at the Beethoven
