Work has started to transform the rose garden in the Queen’s Park Gardens. Tree surgeons have cut some of the conifers, following consultation with residents, which showed strong support to increase the variety of trees and create a community orchard.
The conifers have been removed to make way for the new trees and plants. Planting will start in the autumn and continue in the spring.
Keep an eye on park notice boards and the QPCC website and social media for information about forthcoming volunteering and planting days, where residents can get involved with these activities.
